Easiest and most useful application of astrology is finding the lost objects. It's worth studying basic astrology, at least to find our own lost objects. This article explains the same with examples.
Method
There are quite a few methods of finding lost objects in various systems of astrology. I am explaining a method which is very simple and yet very effective.
Astrologer is to cast the horoscope at a time when he is posed a query about lost object using the place where the astrologer is (rather than where the object was lost or where the querier is). The Moon's position in this horoscope gives clues as to where the object is. The Moon's position is to be used as per the following rules -

The Moon's position in this horoscope gives clues as to where the object is. The Moon's position is to be used as per the following rules -
- Signification of the Moon - Since this is a horary chart, the Moon should be significator of the house which indicates the lost object. For example, second house if jewelry is lost, third house for lost documents etc. Usually the Moon himself is in house signifying the lost of object or Karka rules that house. If the Moon is not significator of relevant house, the horoscope can not be used for answering the question.
- Moon's house - House where the Moon is indicates the place where the object is. For example, a Moon in fifth house indicates the children or the play house or a Moon in the twelfth house indicates the bedroom and so on. A chart here lists the places indicated by various houses.
- Moon's sign (Nirayana) - Like Moon's house, its sign also indicates a place. Hence one has to combine both the indication to infer the right place. The sign also indicates the color of the enclosure if the object is hidden inside an envelop, bag, trunk or a room. The chart here lists the places and colors indicated by Nirayana signs. For example, for a Moon in Meena and twelfth house, both house and sign indicate the bedroom. In such a case, the object can be found in the bedroom near a water container or near fish-tank or inside a green bag.
- Moon's star (Nakshatra) - Like the sign, Moon's star indicates the color of the enclosure. It also indicates person/s possessing the object or in some way related to the loss. The person or color should be inferred according to the properties of the lord of star.
- Moon's navamamsha - This can be used to further clarify the place indicated by the house and the sign. It's signification is same as the signs.
- The planets aspecting the Moon - The planets forming aspects with the Moon indicate the objects nearby the lost object. Such objects should inferred according to the signification and colors of planets as found in the chart here.
Some statistics
I have total of 24 horoscopes for lost objects. Out of those, in 13 cases the objects were found and amongst those in 12 cases, they were found at the places indicated by the Moon's position.
We have not tackled the question of whether we will be able to find the object or not here. That's topic of some other article.
